Glucotrol (generic name: Glipizide; brand names include: Glytop SR) is an oral medium-to-long acting anti-diabetic drug from the sulfonylurea class. It lowers high blood glucose by increasing the amount of insulin produced by your pancreas and helping the body use insulin efficiently.
